People move, change numbers and drop off social media. Finding them takes a mix of records research, field work and interviewing. Witness location is one of our core services for attorneys, and we also help businesses and individuals reconnect with people they need to reach.
Who we locate
- Witnesses for civil and criminal matters
- Parties to lawsuits and debtors with judgments
- Heirs and beneficiaries
- Former employees, tenants or business contacts
- Lost friends and family, where the person would welcome contact
How it works
We begin with what you already know: names, dates of birth, old addresses, workplaces. We then research records and, where needed, verify in the field. Once someone is located, interviews can follow. See litigation support.
Responsible locates
We will not locate someone for a client who appears to intend harm, and we decline requests involving protective orders or a person who clearly does not want to be found. We may ask why you need to reach someone. That protects everyone.
Every matter is overseen by Jim Galvin, a former NYPD detective with 23 years of service, including 13 years in the Detective Bureau and led multiple investigative units. Jim is a licensed private investigator and notary. More about Jim.
Questions
Can you find someone with just a name?
Sometimes, especially with a distinctive name and a known city. Every additional detail improves the chances.
Will you give me the person’s address?
That depends on the purpose. For some matters we deliver a message or arrange contact instead of releasing an address.
